i want to build a auburn speedster. i have a 72 ford ltd frame. what modifications do i need to do to make the body and finders fit?? does any one have a build manual for a auburn kit car????? thank you a63331@sc.rr.com

You don't' state what brand reproduction you have purchased, Elegant, California Custom Coach, Heritage LTD (now Davviki), Glen Pray, other-- Usually the front frame horns must be cut to clear the front fenders as they curve down over most mid size car frames the kit manufacturers recommend using., also the center section needs to be lengthened to obtain the 126 inch wheel base. I purchased a Elegant kit in the mid 80's, the assembly manual consisted of black and white photos of a Elegant car being assembled in their shop, and two hand sketched papers with the mention of the 126 inch wheel base, I then decided to build my own frame and forgot about using a mid size car and chopping it up, best bet- find someone in your area that has the know how. i did not buy a kit. i bought the front and rear finders and plan to build a wood body. thank you fred
